About DL-GNA
Deutsch Langhaar - Gruppe Nordamerika (DL-GNA) is a fully-sanctioned breed club of the Deutsch Langhaar Verband (DLV) and member club of the JGHV. We are a group of hunters that love our German-bred dogs and want to improve, promote, and protect the breed as versatile hunting companion in North America.
DL-GNA follows the principles of the German versatile hunting dog association and is modeled after other successful JGHV clubs in North America and abroad. The JGHV testing system has been used for over 100 years to test and evaluate gun dogs to a common performance standard. This ensures the continuity and consistency in evaluating the abilities and characteristics of many breeds across different countries.
DL-GNA is JGHV member club #2415.

Benefits of DL-GNA Membership
Membership in DL-GNA connects you with like-minded hunters across North America who love our versatile hunting dogs. Members receive a quarterly newsletter, invitations to DL-GNA events, access to the Members-Only area of the DL-GNA website, and access to virtual VJP/HZP/VGP training sessions.
We support our members with training resources to help with preparing for and passing the performance tests as well as developing capable, reliable hunting companions. We also foster a community around our dogs and enjoy getting together at annual events.
We support our breeders with breeding resources, consultations, litter announcements, puppy buyer support, and educational materials. Where appropriate, general breed inquiries are directed to breeders with upcoming or available puppies.
